Robert Abela- Prime Minister of Malta

The roles of Prime Minister of Malta and Leader of the Labour Party have been held by Hon. Robert Abela, a politician and attorney from Malta, since 2020. The son of the late President George Abela, he was chosen to serve in parliament in 2017. He was elected to the Maltese Parliament for the first time at the age of 40 after running in the district’s sixth election, which encompasses Siggiewi, Luqa, and Qormi. In addition, he counselled former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat on legal matters, enabling him to attend Council of Ministers sessions.

In 2015, he received the IT BIZ AWARD for Best CEO/COO, and in 2016, he was recognised as one of Ukraine’s top 25 trailblazing business leaders. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick with an MBA and an MPA.
